Freejay exists to give anyone a place to share the music they make and have it heard by real listeners, together, in real time. No algorithm, no ads, no popularity contest.
Every track played here was chosen by a person, not a recommendation engine, and every artist keeps full ownership of what they upload.
If you hear something you love, tell the artist. And if you love the station itself, help keep it running.
By uploading any audio file ("Content") to Freejay, you represent and warrant that you are the sole legal owner of that Content, or that you hold all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to upload, stream, and publicly broadcast it through this service.
You retain full ownership of your Content. Uploading it here does not transfer any ownership, copyright, or other intellectual property rights to Freejay, its operators, or any other user. We do not claim any ownership over your Content.
By uploading Content, you grant Freejay a non-exclusive, royalty-free, revocable license to host, stream, and publicly play your Content to listeners connected to this service, for as long as it remains uploaded.
Freejay does not pay royalties, licensing fees, or any other compensation to uploaders for streaming their Content. Participation is voluntary, and Content is submitted freely with no expectation of payment.
You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to upload and share any Content you submit. Freejay is not responsible for verifying ownership or rights, and disclaims all liability for Content uploaded by users that infringes on the rights of others.
If Content is found to infringe on someone else's rights, it may be removed at any time, and the uploading account may be suspended or terminated at the Owner's or a mod's discretion.
These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of Freejay after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

This is a plain-language summary written for a small project. It is not legal advice.
Freejay keeps only what it needs to run your account and the station. We don't show ads, we don't sell or share your information, and we don't use tracking or analytics tools.
Your account: your username, your password (stored only in scrambled form, so nobody can read it, including us), and a scrambled copy of your recovery code.
From Google, when you sign in with Google: your email address and Google's ID for your account, so we know which Google account belongs to you. Google may also share your name, but we only use it during sign-up and don't keep it.
What you choose to add: tracks you upload and their titles, your artist bio, background image and support links, the artists you like, and your chat messages. Your uploads, bio, links and likes are public on the site. Chat is visible to everyone listening, and only the most recent messages are kept.
Live broadcasts: live audio is passed straight through to listeners and is not recorded.
We use one cookie to keep you logged in, and a short-lived one while you sign in with Google. Your browser also remembers your volume and Night Mode settings on your own device. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
To protect accounts we briefly track sign-in attempts and the network address they come from, to block password guessing and spam. Our hosting provider (Render) keeps standard server logs. Page fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google sees your network address when the page loads.
Freejay is hosted by Render. Sign-in with Google is handled by Google. Donations go through PayPal, on PayPal's own site. Each of these has its own privacy policy. We don't send you emails.
You can change your password, recovery code and linked Google account in Settings, and take down your own tracks at any time from your artist page. To have your account and everything attached to it deleted, or to ask what we hold about you, email info@freejay.xyz from the address linked to your account.
